Journals and Season Books

Pam was a prolific talented writer and it is reflected in her college GPA’s and in the journals that she kept. I still have 15-20 of her journals to read and then pass on to her sons Greg and Brett. I had no idea that she had written so many and the poetry too! And I’m left with more than 20 Season Books that we exchanged with each other the first five years of our togetherness. Her creation of this wonderful vehicle to pass back and forth solidified the realization that we were supposed to spend that rest of of our lives together.

She was an exceptional partner for me and I am lucky to have had the good fortune to have been with her for so long. I miss her.

From the first few pages of the first Season Book, The Summer of ‘83

Bob,

A book for us to give and give and give to one another. A place to share our thoughts in poetry. A book for us to write - with love.

Life is beautiful this Sunday

on the beach

Pam also wrote articles and sent them to newspaper columnists like Jack Smith of the Los Angeles Times, who referred to her several times in his column.

She and hr friend Bunny had a women’s group column published in Seattle and when we were in Lompoc she had various articles in the the newspaper. She also had an article published in the Sun magazine but it didn’t turn up in her papers. Her son Greg got Pam’s unit of heredity gene passed to him and I hope someday he with use it.
