Our Wedding

Our original plan for our wedding was to be married in the Oak Grove in Ojai, California where we had heard Krishnamurti speak in ‘84 and ‘85. It was a beautiful and quiet setting, a perfect place for our vows to be exchanged but Krishnamurti passed away on February 17, 1986 at age 90 and the Oak Grove was closed. Next to the Oak Grove was a restaurant called “The Ranch House” where we had planned our reception. Instead of looking for another venue, we just added the vow exchange to the spacious herb garden at “The Ranch House”. We had a menagerie of each others friends but the most important factor was that all six of our children supported our union. Brett took photos and Greg and John toasted us before our luncheon. Mark and Michael supported us with their love. I’ll never be able to thank Will Radig enough for the video of the wedding, Ardy for welcoming the guests and my daughter Casey who sang for us along with Karl Johnson and Debbie Gilmore.

Thank you to my father and brother, Irv Hamilton Sr. and Irv Hamilton Jr. both having passed away, to have been there for us. Pam had a very special relationship with my dad, in spite of him being Republican. In 2006, we invited all of our family back to “The Ranch House” for a 20 year reunion and rightfully so, the center of attention was Greg and Lisa’s first born Andrew. Going forward he would be a big part of “Granno’s” joy for the coming years, as well as Christopher, David, Matt, Anthony, Addison, Alexis and Lauren.
